  • 12lb 8oz cod seaham north pier

Took my 11yr old son fishing on seaham pier tonight, started catching the usual whiting, then our john gets a cracking bite and reels in a thornback! About 5lbs. An hour later I'm into a good cod, walked it round to the steps and a lad gilled it for me, weighed 12lb.8oz on someone's digital scales! First double of the season! I've got some good photos, will try to put them on tomorow,
    Stay safe!
    Enjoy your fishing!
    Take your rubbish home!

Hi mate, cracking fish it was. I was the one with my mate Brian walking up the pier as you were leaving. We ended up fishing the drum end, will put report on after I've had some sleep.
