  • quickie at horden

done a quick 1 1/2 hr session at horden thurs nite. saw my rod tip do a whitey rattle so i reel in . it kept getting heavier the closer it got in had to even adopt the pump and wind technique and even tighten the drag further on the slosh 30 . with line steadily reeled in the fish finally came thru . yes a whitey but with some red coloured braided line in the mouth possibly attached to sinker somewer a long the sea bed. a decent whitey tho . rigs used was a running ledger . then a swap to pulley resulting in still another decent whiting, biats were some irish lug from local tackle shop ( only £5 a score and did the job) mussel and squid and peelers. not bad for a quickie like . will post photo soon (maybe after work depends...) still no 2012 cod yet tho......
