make sure that the braid is round because u can also get the flat braid that cuts in2 itself on the spool no good 4 casting but ok on a boat with no casting.

i put power pro 60lb on my 525 2 last week for rough ground with a 60lb shocker and planned to use it in the rough in the amble open but the conditions dictated flatty bashing and i used it at duridge bay and worked great i just put the mags on full at first

            re-braid

Personally i would'nt put it on as i had braid on my 525mag and it beds itself down into the spool when you have a little bit of weight on it, i gave the braid to another guy fishing on pier and he uses a fixed spool reel and has had no probs at all, Hope this helps.

cheap braid are prone to line twist and can be a nightmare to cast. . i have braid on my fixed spools and the bite detection is amazing when u use braid . why do u want to use braid on a multi ?

another thing with braid m8 is dont strike a bite just lift in2 it & wind, no stretch in braid & if ya strike u can pull hook straight out of the fish or turn it inside out lol better if u can 2 use a shocker 2 give u a bit play. another thing is 2 hold ya rod because when a good fish hits ya there is no good thump, thump its more like a wrench & good bye gear. always put some backing on as has been said as if u dont the braid will tighten through time & then it will start 2 slide round the spool as it cant grip like mono & u will have all sorts of probs.

You can also use the mono backing as a bed for the braid, to help prevent it from bedding/cutting in. I absolutley love braid, it makes fishing that little bit more enjoyable
