Shields Pier 9-1-12

Been on the end from 9 am this morning till 5.30pm. A was like a mad professor with all the different big bait concoctions to land a codling. Tried everything, (used 6/0 hooks to try an stop the whities), all to no avail. "the ghost" had 6 canny sized whities and a eventually got one more by luck than out else.
Wind spoiled it a bit but the peir was open so a canny few randoms came along for a chat.
Also had the chance to meet Cod Commando from this site who was canny crack so all in all a canny day in good company.

Good to meet two cracking lads on the pier. And learnt something new about the tidel flow. Good report mate and am sure the cod will be there for you and the "ghost " next time around mate.
