Whilst sitting eating the codling I caught on Saturday for my tea I decided to go out with my leftover bait and try my luck down Shields. Set up at the Angel / Spirit of South Shields around 8pm . There was a good in ya face northerly blowing making bite detection difficult and doing a good job of drying out my eyeballs. I persevered and landed a canny whiting 36cm on rag. Not much more action after that and I decided to pack in around midnight while I still had some skin left on me face. A pleasant evening all the same.
