    Fished roker pier between 11.30 -4.00pm.used rag and sguid.realy windy.loads of whiting caught all a decent size.all went back alive except for one.a token for the wife to cook.went down in hope of a big coddie.none by me or my mate caught not a single one. thats fishing i guess.not a bad day.at least the whittings kept us entertained.

    Nice sesh, some nice juiced up whiteys coming off there lately. Shame no coddys for you though.

      atleast the ting made up for it me mate and i had a nice cod suppers worth each last night mine 3lb and a half hes was 4lb n a half

        is the pier open all the time now, weather permmiting??

                O9gmarsh2009 goodluck for tomorrow mate.as far as im aware their shutting the pier down again to change gates. so the notice said anyway.sometime next week.might of got it wrong like lads.

                      wind was realy bad, but eased off later in the afternoon. fished bhind the wall, so sheltered from wind and rain. hard time was making way back of pier. then felt full force of wind, but not as dangerous as u think, otherwize wouldnt of went on it.safety first lads allways

                        Well done on braving the wind Mark. Keep plugging away and that big one will come. I'm out tonight, might give Roker a bash myself. I usually fish the first steps when I go there. It's a long time since I fished Roker, does anyone know if the first steps area is producing any fish lately?

                            No luck at all, Roker is shut. Tried the Walkway for a couple of hours but the pull was wicked. Lost a few lots of gear so we headed for home. A couple of tinnies and a good warm will cheer us up.
