fished the groynes at Blyth last night from 3pm till 12:30am me and mic1978 we were kept busy all night with whitys and flounders, about 2 hours into the ebb I got a slack liner resulting in a 4lb codling, it was a cracking night, a tad cold but at least no rain.
Bait used was rag, lug, squid, runnydown, crab, macky and prawns most of the fish fell to worm tipped with squid or macky the flounders on runnydown and the codling was caught on rag tipped with squid.
Most of the fish were returned kept some for a nice fish pie

pics to follow when i can reinstall my phones software as the bloody things crashed

                    Cracking Mixed Bag

Is the groynes next to the public toilets, I was a little further north me and two mates had some cracking fish....Bass x2, Codling x2, Whiting x4, Coley x2 and a flounder. Excellent catch by the way mate its a cracking beach blyth, When we come of the beach about 03.30 my mate even spotted a coley lying on the sand attached to a trace when he picked up the fish it was still alive and on the bottom hook was a small dab and a nice six ounce gripper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Two fish released and a bit of lead for the pan

                    Happy Days

                    Regards,

                    Swally
