after a tip from the lad in the bait shop that there was car access at the new tunnel/jarra park area i had a dodge down to wet a line for the day.

just recently finished so hadnt a clue what was in store for iz so put one out long and one short.
well after 3 hours trying different baits give it up an hour after high water.not a bite in 3 hours.
had bait left so after going home n somit to eat went to the customs house for the rest of the day .nothing until it went dark at about 4 then the whiting came out in force, loads of missed bites but avoided the blank with a couple at size .met a nice cheeky rat while i was down coming close enough but just shy of pinching me bait and had to keep an eye on the checky sod cause every time i turned round he was waiting for a chance to sneak off with a bit bait.

about 8 inches in body lenth but not as big as the one in the docks, thought it was a polecat the size of the bugger .

I took my son there on Sunday between 3 and 5, didn't catch a thing using mackerel and squid. Bloke near us caught a few whities and a flatty though
