Just finished filleting tonights catch,5 whities around 1lb mark caught at the Glass centre from about 5.30 til 10.30.All together caught about 20 between me and my lad,all bar the 5 went back alive as they were deep hooked.Baits used rag, runnydown and mussell.Good sport ,kept going right through the full session.there were a lot fishing down there tonight and everyone were pulling fish in,although one or two were more interested in how many cans they could knock back rather than fishing .
Has anyone caught and cleaned whities which have loads of ring type worms in their guts, had a couple tonight that had their livers absolutely riddled with these worms and the worms were also in the flesh of the fish too,any idea what these worms are?

Thats why quite a few whiting look anorexic it will be those things feeding on them from the inside out.

I agree that most sea creatures have parasites, but a couple of these whities had more worms in their liver than liver>usally these fish have a couple of worms in their gut and non in the flesh but these fish were absolutely riddled ended up binning a couple of fillets
