Headed of to Whitley beach last night with Sigsy (on Terrys recomendation) to drown some worms. Wind made bite detection almost impossable, but with a bucket of yellows for bait and a good see running we were fairly confident we would find a fish. An hour after the food decided to move mark a little further up the beach, first cast bang, fish on, A little over 7lb and a new PB nothing much happened after that and struggled to hold bottom to we packed up. Oh and a big thanks to the lad who lent me his scales to weigh the fish, i must remember to put mine in my box

Well done!
Well done on the Cod. 7lb for this time of year is a cracking fish! I had a drive down to Tynemouth Beach last night and there was a stiff SE wind and a cracking sea running! I had a drive up to St. Mary's and think I saw your head lamp on the beach from a distance. I actually thought there would be more rods out! After my 7lb 12oz on Friday I have took a few days off but plan to get out soonest. I think with the SE and the way the sea is running the beach "should" throw up some fish. Well done again and good luck for the rest of the season!
