Fished the castle today n great conditions and a big tide. had around 8 pollock all around the 1lb mark and a dozen macky. Would have been more but the huge greedy seal kept pinching them off the hook right on the surface. Quite spectacular if not un nerving !
Got me macky bait for the winter now anyway and a pleasent day to round off the summer season.

Been there got the T-shirt like many others. One minute your pulling in a fish then the brakes go on, You think to yourself "what the Foook" luckily I gave the rod one hell of a yark back and pulled the fish from old sammy the seals gob nice set of teeth marks on the landed fish.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught

Had that before but this was a monster of a seal and it was coming right to the surface in front of us.

It is hitty miss there was pulling in 1-2lb pollock for around 30 mins then dead. Mind you the seal was knocking about as well. the macky were on the small side for there as well might be a late on sign I suppose.

I never knew the mackerel were still in that late on. Are they really?
