  • Seaham Hall Beach 21/09/11

Seven of us went down onto the Beach to have a bit of a "testing the water session" for the coming season. Fished a rising tide from 6pm till 10pm with a quid a man for the longest recorded fish landed. Fishing was slow until darkness set in, then the Whiteys arrived in numbers.
Not much meat on the ones landed, but it was good to see them making an appearance after being short in numbers for the last few years. The ones landed ranged from between 20cm up to 32cms
Best fish landed and the money winner turned out to be a lovely 33cm Plaice landed by my good self. He shots he scores.
One of the lads christened his new Triplex rod, which he seemed happy with, but poor Melly Anderson, failed to land one fish, but what do you expect when he was using a 4/0 pennel rig. Think he is about a month too early
BIT OF A WARNING. 3 weaver fish landed, so they still about.
All fish returned and a canny night was had by all....
