  • Newbiggin

Had a run up Newbiggin this morning fished a couple of hours either side of low water. Had a couple of small coalies and missed a couple of bites. nice to get out the house for a bit fresh air.

Bit of a late reply mate but where abouts in newbiggin is that? I've fished the clean beach with the wave breakers and that statue of the couple. Caught ppls rigs and seaweed mostly.
Also parked that golf club (i think) and walked along northwards past caravans onto another beach but water was black wo dust i think?

That spot looks awesome, did you use rotton bottom set ups?.
You know,i have one simple request and that's to catch sharks with frickin laser beams attached to their heads!!

Thats the place mate park in car park behind the maratime centre and its a short walk.
Its heavy ground mate. I like to keep it simple as possible mate 3 way swivel 30lb to sinker short snood 8 to 10 inch with hook that will bend out seem to lose less gear this way. Not for power casting like.Hope this helps

That's brilliant thanks for the screen shot n' all.
Always avoided rocky ground but shall give this a bash soon.
I have some thin 2/0 hooks so will try your 3 way swivel method aswell. Thanks again fella
