Well lads today was the day. South Shields pier. Same spot as the feature in Sea Angler this month when lad was pulling in Plaice left right and centre.
Except it was not meant to be for me today. Bait was stripped off in minutes--even tied on Macky--------------heres the reason why the dreaded swimmer crabs.
Still it was,nt a bad way to pass a few hours.
Guys on the end did not feature to well with just a few mackeral and Coley caught on daylights.
Oh and the gate was locked as guys working on the stone at the end of the pier. The security were letting fishermen on as long as no mess was left and you kept out of the way of the oxygen tanks as divers working.
