    yes thats rocky island ,the lads were fishing the high water mark behind the pub ,cross over the bridge and down to the rocks follow the concrete pipe down and fish seawards any where on the flat pipe .cracking winter mark

      It's in front (on the right side) of the cut of the original harbour entrance. Walk along past the Kings Arms and follow the path/clamber down to get onto the rocks.
      Fished there quite a few times myself, very snaggy but have had some decent fish from there, tried chucking lures around there quite a bit too but no success yet with those.

        Will defo have to have a trip out there then.... looked at it a few times but never fished it.... fingers crossed for next time.

          Aye craig they were close in that day, too late when i realised how far he was sneakily chuckin his bait haha

          Aye all in all it's been a good spot for us, fished it a fair few times and not one blank yet i don't think !
          If anyones ever down there give us a shout i'm only down the road

            Id take u up on that offer sometime mate! Always keen to learn how to tackle new spots!

              have a word with ian elliot or steve his mate from out off s/s club took them down to rocky in afour team knockout and they slaughted us using blacks to our devon crab,became good friends ,and they often returned to rocky in the big opens time the four man teams were back on as the south and north lads all learned new marks davy

                I dont know any of the lads mate as im just getting back into fishing but im gonna join the s/s club next week in time for the winter comps, was talking to the lad at A line Baits n Tackle and believe he's the chairman of the club. None of my mates fish so if anyone out there doesnt mind me tagging along any advice would be really appriciated

                  don,t be afraid off aproaching ian he,s a smashing guy and he will give you the advice fishing the pier and river marks ,as will the other members you being a new member some one will take you under there wing best off luck. davy
