Got to the pier about 530, still quite a few on from the night shift so set up camp at the first steps. Was fishing lug and rag off the bottom and tried mussel off the float. No joy with the float but pulled in a just over size codling on lug at about 8ish, first ever! That was it mind, the whole pier was quiet as far as i was hearing from people. Some poor bloke had done 12 hours from 9pm and had nowt! Think he was off to Latimers mind.
