  • Hard going on the rocks

Fished low water at Cresswell tonight and it was one of those nights. First of all, got there from Morpeth to find I'd forgot my head torch so had to go back on me self and then by the time I got back to the mark I only had an hour left of the drop and there were a few lads where I wanted to be.

Fished north corner of the Carrs and it was still pretty big - canny rollers coming down and had to hold the rod. I kept getting snagged and losing gear ( doesn't usually happen there) so moved to the Gut. Lost one in a snag just behind the breakers first cast there and managed to winkle one out at just under 4 and a quarter before getting off.

So a bit disappointing but good to get one out at least. I'll stick a pic up tomorrow when I wake up.

Better than sitting at home watching the box mate. At least you got out!
