Hadston totally unfishable 2hrs going down to low water.
Opted for Seahouses to get a bit depth, how wrong.
The waves were washing out the end at low water, wind was unbelievable direct from east must have been approaching a constant storm force, never let up for 1 second.
I've never seen a 4m swell within the harbour before in over 40yrs.
Remained there for 3 hrs, became worse with the horizontal rain hitting you like ball bearings.
Departed there and headed for private beach where it was a lot better conditions but the current was so strong could not hold the bottom, lots of weed in water there. Horizontal rain became a pain and called it a night at 2400.
One thing I saw whilst traveling up coastal route to Seahouses, the small car parking area at cullernose point was totally swamped in around 1ft of sea foam right over the roadway.
That was 1hr before low water, the water there was totally incredible the roadway was eye level with top of waves.
God only knows what it would have been like at high water.
Word of warning if heading up the small coastal route roads, there are lots of parts of the entire route totally under pockets of water, some around 18inches deep, some 3 inches but prolonged in length, car is needed with speed on these roads even in 4x4, even my ML was lifting hitting some of the water.
Another outing at the weekend
Take care
