Hi all, I fished the ice house on the quayside last night from 5.30 till 7.30. 1st chuck resulted in a small coalie followed by a few missed bites. Then I got a coalie just undersize and on me last cast I managed a nice coalie about a pound and a half.
Not a bad little session and there seems to be an abundance of coalies around at the min.
Each time I've tried there I've managed to catch something, usually cost me more in gear than it's been worth though! Not a mark I've tried enough times to fathom out where the clear patches are or the best tide times to fish it.

Always best to fish it chucking as far as you can - you need to be at least 120 yds to clear the major snags. Alternatively a short chuck of 20 yds can also be productive, especially for some good coalies (when they're around).
I'm looking forward to going back when the dredger has finished doing it's thing as they've pulled out hundreds of tons of old cable, chains, shopping trolleys & untold other garbage during the last couple of months - eager to see if it'll make a difference to fishing that whole area.
