Its been a while since i put in a catch report so i thought its about time i got around to it :-)
Me and a mate went out on Tuesday night for 3 hours of fishing just to get out of the house :-)
The weather was not the best ( rain and wind ) , anyway we headed down to our favourate spot and parked up. set up my big rod loaded with 2 hook flapper and 3 big fat shrimp on each hook ( cant get good bait here ) anyway cast it out about 100m and set up the spinning rod for a chance of some mackeral , cinditions were not the best for them but there is always the chance of come colies or some small pollock . After 30 mins the big rod gets a knock and in come a 2.5lb codling ( not bad ) set it up again and cast out to around the same spot 30 mins later and another knock resulting in another codling around the same size. both codling were deeply hooked so had no choice but to put them to sleep and have them for tea ( not something i would normally do but they were well hooked) anyway next thing the fjord starts to boil and bubble like hell ( macky ) cast out the spinner about 20 times into the boil and not one macky took it :O my mate got one macky just over the 2lb mark ( nice fish ) then that was it for the next 2 hours so decided to pack up when we saw a seal pop his ugly head out of the water
Had another go on friday with the weather being very very nice , fished from 11am until 5 pm and not one bite not even a sign of a fish in the water ( got a nice sunburn though ) anyway i think ill be heading out a couple of more times before i head back to work so ill stick in another post soon ! now i just need to figure out how to post pics on here
