S Shields pier car park opening times ?

Hi,
I fancy an early morning session on S Shields pier, but don't want to arrive and find the car park (beside the fairground) closed. Anyone know what time it opens ?
Or, is there anywhere else I can park from about 5.0am safely >

Front part of the car park will be open but the main body of it will probs be locked up.

Check the ticket machine to see what time you need to pay, easier to buy a ticket before you go on pier rather than walk back later to get one during your session.

i fish the pier offten and always park at the radar station i find its a safe place to park never had any probs

are you's on about the marked parking bays next to the radar station?

or parking on the road to the front of it?
