I must admit though i love winter fishing even more... Standing on the end of the pier, flask in hand, big bait cast out into the murky depths, watching the rod tip sway with the swell, sipping tea while the chill of the northerly wind blows in your face, shivering with the cold..... and the ambition of a big cod taking your bait!

These are the sessions I strive for every winter, so a cant wait till then. But for now, am gonna enjoy what the summer has to offer, and have alot of fun doing it!

That's what happens when ya mam puts the soaps on every nite and ya have no control over the telly!

The stuff she watches bores the hell out of me, but gets engraved in my head, im becoming all timeless and emotional, like those novels!

Got one a while back, i belive they are out there but maybe not in big numbers.
I hate fishing in strong wind otherwise I would be out giving it a go, fecking WIND.

Here here mate. totally agree with ya. A doubt kieth (weefus) or bucky would lie about something like that, and since it was seen by many anglers then it would be difinately confirmed. I doubt wavydavy would lie about it either.

Think everybodys a bit confused as were not used to seeing mackerel this early on the pier, a think. This is the earliest I've ever seen them on shields pier, at least in my lifetime anyway.
