  • Blast Beach, 6/5/11

Fished the Blast on Friday, 10 till 5. Nothing going at all, well apart from a small Granny Fish which I "HEAVED" in, after a good fight!!!!! NOT...

3 of us Fishing and not so much as a bite, the highlight being when one of My mates tripped over a Rock and done about 5 rolly pollys!!! haha...

Nice place to Fish, but we were warned by the Bloke in Reelsport that its really a Winter Mark...

Gonna give The Groyne down Shields a blast tonight, about 5 when I finish work...

    Fingers Crossed
GET OUT THERE AND STICK A BAIT IN IT !!!

        Blast off

A good winter cod beach many years ago, when the coal was being tipped or just after they closed the pit, now all the beach has been washed away leaving it full of snaggs.

The cliff tops noses and hawthorn always a good shot but if you want easy fishing with a chance of some mixed species why not try seaham hall beach ?.

Well done on getting down there and giving it a go bud. I those granny fish put up a scrap, the smaller, the more hungrier they are.

Had one big'un a couple of years ago off shields pier, weighed dot on 1lb 10oz, lovely looking fish, mottled mixed black, brown and green colours... and one very big mouth!!
