  • Night Fishing 6th - 7th May Various Locations

I had some suggestions for night fishing from a few of the members here when I made a thread about a week ago looking for location and bait advice.

In the end we (myself and 3 friends) went on a bit of a "tour", had fun but didn't catch much but I thought I should post my groups catches, or lack of them for you guys and as much information as I can remember.

For simplicity purposes and because I really like Google Maps tagging system I have made a Google Map with the spots we went too, what we caught and roughly how long we were there.

Anyone who may be unsure of Google Maps will not have to download or install any software, simply click my link and it will take you to a zoomed out view of the area in which we fished, on the left hand side you will see the fishing places in blue text, simply click the blue text (eg Fishing Spot 1 etc etc) and you will be automatically shown the exact spot I was fishing (you can use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom into that location once selected) and you should see a mini report of the events at that particular location.

    7th - 8th of may night/early morning fishing. - Google Maps

Thanks for taking the time and interest in my fishing trip.

All fish were and always will be thrown back to fight another day

Next week I go for Jaws !

Yeah I think so too, my friend knows how to add little fish icons and what not, with this I could have also showed the casting direction by simply drawing a line on the map but I was mixing it up quite a bit so I didn't bother.

      Very useful tool I think

Excellent report mate - great idea and very informative for anyone wishing to venture from their normal spots but are not to sure where to go, and it looks like the car parking at spot 3 is ideal for those who have limited mobility. Looking forward to any other reports you may do in this type of format. Great Stuff and am sure will be appreciated by many.

            Great report Dave
Would have took me as long as the nights fishing

To add fish icons etc, when u add a new placemark, google maps brings up your dialogue box to enter a title, description etc. In the top right corner, where it shows u the icon of the placemark (pin), just click this icon which brings up a nice selection of new icons, its as simple as that
