  • Tynemouth Pier 21-04-11

Hi all just a quick catch report for the Tyne fished Tynemouth pier first gate Thursday night for 5 hours and had a great session lost count of fish but over 17 easy some really good size coalies nearly all fish were size bar a few flounders.

    Bait used - Rag Mackerel

Can someone tell me what that fish is in picture 11 12 13 14 it was nothing like a flounder very pointed all most sharp if you no what i mean white spots either side of it.

And what is the fish in picture 2 3 4 5 6 because it looked nothing like a dab thats what i first thought but something did not look right about it cheers.

          Hello,
I reckon that you've caught a "Long Rough Dab" the bigger eyes and mouth point to it being a one.

          Regards Ian
