Rat House Catch Report 17/4/11

Given the big tides we've had, i took a trip off the ratty today, fished the end from about 2 untill 6ish.

Managed four tiny whities which were returned unscaved and swam off

Sea was like glass but picked up with abit draught at about 5.

Bait was freshly dug rag from sand point since the tides are so low, frozen peeler and mackrel.

Much better worm than the farmed shop stuff and saved a few quid.

Got a few fish and saved yersel a few quid also, not bad mate.

shame im working all weekend so wont be out till next week!

the worm ive been buying latly isnt very good, its all the farmed stuff and is knowhere near as juicy as dug stuff.

the juice was bursting out when i hooked them on and when you picked them up they were so wriggly, you coulnd get them on the hook!

i think ill dig more often from now on.

i was further up river an had 13 fish 12 coalies an one tiny whitie 3 of them were sizeable rest were 4 to 5 inches on frozen crab
