where to fish on the tyne...

want to hit the tyne sunday just woundering wheres best. i live in tyne dock so im reet on the river.

im from sunderland originally so not too sure on the best marks in south tyneside.

im mainly after plaice and flatties really (no idea why) but anything really, dont wanna go anywhere where im gonna loose much gear as im just getting back into it :-D

you can try down next 2 the copthorne hotel m8 its canny sport if its flatties u want you will get plenty down there i fish there alot and ive had fish every time ive been there,hope that helps m8 tight lines

you can go futher up to the heliport,good flattie spot there plus anything else that decides to come up that way.
Best fished last 2 hrs up and 2hrs down

on sunday mate u will struggle to hold the bottom big tides =alot of snags and lost gear but could allways try low tide for a couple of hours

give church bank a shot where the old hebburn ferry used to be.nice muddy area and no tackle losses unless ya useless,bait rag n maccy/crab.no need for massive casts flattys will be caught at 30 metres.

or failing there try hebburn marina, just as you get on the drive by the boat club,cast between the bouys.

British airways carpark could be worth a shot over high tide. No snags here and short casting onto the muddy banks should put you onto the flatties and shouldn't be too much tide pull with it being closer in.

if its plaice your after why not try between the brigade hut and the first gate as theres been a few plaice taken taken recently, hihg water on monday bout 4.20 get there from bout 11.30 and if conditions are canny theres a chance of plaice. or if really adventurous give the south east corner on pier a go as there was 4 plaice caught off there today 1 at 1lb and a half a nd anotrher bout b 1lb and couple oif smallerf ones
