  • Pier closed

Friday 30/10.... Sea flat no wind nice and warm . WHY WAS ROKER AND SHEILDS PIERS CLOSED. SHOCKING. We phoned and were told poor forcast later in day. SHOCKING. The pier should have been open until the weather warranted it being closed. Fished at pans bank had 3 little touches all day but we had a large seal right in front of us all day. Used rag, runnydown, squid and mussel. River good height and like a mill pond but no fish where we were. Very disappointed piers were closed on such a nice day. I have fished both piers when weather was a million times worse. RANT OVER.
LOVE TO FISH, HATE TO BLANK. STAY AT HOME AND HAVE A BREAKFAST .....

        closed pier

don't forget anglers are not the only ones using the piers anglers are a hardy lot. general public will sue if they get splashed, trip over a pebble, or stub a toe, if their coat gets splashed by sea water head to the nearest solicitor its hard on anglers but its the way of the world now every body wants to sue but anglers suffer
old anglers never die -they just smell that way
