  • 18/2 Couple a Codling

Decided to have a look out last night and head north, got to lynemouth see massive had a feeling it might be, so back down we headed for shields pier to fish the bottom for some shelter, got there didnt fancy it could see some lights on the end so headed up, some lads had been on from 4pm and had nowt, and had one more chuck out and left, i threw out and gear got pushed into the channel due to the extreme wind and tide just on the flood, second chuck got a good bite pulled in 2lb 2oz codling, then nowt so headed down pier to get out the wind and the waves that had begun breaking over. first chuck into the bay and got one 2lb 7oz then couple small knocks but nowt more, but happy with a couple codling after nowt really sizeable for a while.

haha got them on the m427 hiflex it bent a bit on the lift but managed ok. saying that the top fish was 5oz lighter on the lift cos it got snagged and the rotten bottom snapped.
