Me n me mate went down at 7pm bumped into an old fella coming off who had fished for 9hrs and blanked. sounded ominuos so carried on to the end.
Pier was empty and within half an hour got a couple of dabs n small rocklings.
Couple of other lads came on (Hello MOE and BOB) and we continued to catch whiting, coalies, flounder and plaice.
We were gonna go at 11pm but stayed till 4am, thanks for the extra bait MOE and the banter, was a crackin night all fish went back except the 2 plaice which were well over size.
Fish caught on turning mussell wrapped in mackerel, lug, rag from MOE, fished right corner of Pier and rig was single pennell well baited up.
    Happy Days.

Really enjoyed all the banter and company, was a great nights fishing, thanks for all the advice and the weights, no doubt they'll come in really handy when we hit the rocks

        Good night!

Sounds like you still managed a good night! I've had nights when I've blanked but it didn't really matter, because the crack I have had with my mate was cracking!
Sounded you like you got a few lead bombs and a bit of advice too!

I walked the dog last night with the wife from Cullercoats. There were a few lads fishing on the pipe and it looked like there might have been someone fishing a gulley in the Northern skeers of Cullercoats Harbour. There also looked like there was at least one on Whitley Beach and another on what looked like one of the skeers on Tynemouth Beach! It was flat calm.

I've managed another week of leave so unfortunately I won't be back up to Arbroath until Monday but I will be out for a monster of a session on Friday locally (standby Kieth lol). Looking to roll about four sessions into one! Question is will I be lucky enough to see a nice Cod. The way it is at the moment I'd be happy with one good one!

Good luck to all those getting out despite the odds!
