  • headed north

well our xmas fair was called of lastnight with weather but me & keith had bait sorted so headed up north 6pm. got 2 our mark & we were plagued by coalie bites  i managed 2 hook in2 one of them but it was undersize so we walked 300yrds 2 another great mark it is also a good named mark 4 the night we had ahead of us (the fingers) my first chuck i had a canny rattle so set rod but did'nt come back. pulled in & re baited a razor-crab & mussel bait & moved back on2 the next finger as tide was pushing in hard. we were just standing holding on 2 rods hopeing 4 a rod wrencher when mine went again, good bang this time so set myself again & nothing  so stood up again & just put rod butt 2 the rocks again & bang it hit me again i started 2 think as i've thought alot of l8'ly that angle or rod does help sometimes. anyway set myself again & did'nt come back :?
3rd time it hit me & i set myself again but as i set myself it hit me again that keith seen this time, 5 goes i had at this fish but still nothing 2 show :x we have heard from alot of lads saying that the fish that have been caught l8'ly have had sprat & sandeels hanging out there mouths & the bigger baits u use the harder it is 2 set the hooks because the fish cant get ya bait in its mouth
it was a cold, cold night lastnight baits were frozen up again with in minutes, ice all over rods, hands sticking 2 rod rests, & ice balls on thumbs when reeling in
we left as the tide pushed us off the marks & headed back south 2 give lynemouth a chuck but nowt doing so headed back home, got back in at 1.45am so thats 7 1/2 hours in a freezer not good lol

          good report bill.

its annoying when its like that.

sometimes a couple of worm on the hook does the trick. or keep the baits smaller.

is the fingers near foxton beach mate??
          .

I just wish I could have understood the cell phone jargon.
Maybe I'm too old, but is there any reason to use phone jargon on this site?
Are we penalised or charged real money for using unadulterated, understandable words?
