                  Its the Middleton.
I am unsure about the Pilot pier-you either love it or hate it. It can be hard work for snags and tackle loss. The secret (and i should,nt be saying this ) is to cast between the red and green bouys. If you fish the channel there is some old pots were you snag and lose gear. If you fish to the left were the headland is its snag city.

when i was akid-nd thats a long time ago the Pilot Pier was an abolute brill place to catch Cod. I,ve seen loads caught off there. Best time is when its really rough with a big sea coming over the Heugh.
Pilot or Middleton as they are quite sheltered.
