  • Specimen Flounder from Co. Wexford.

A flattie session yesterday yielded a 2.lb 9.oz specimen flounder for Mick Doyle of the Greystones Ridge Sea Angling Club.

The particular venue is on fire at present with a number of lunker flatties landed within the last week, peeler crab being the top bait.

Get them like that all the time in the Tyne, though at that weight they do usually have 7 eyes and triple sets of fins. Ohh and they glow in the dark too.
Still, nice little flattie that one, can tell it's not Geordie born and bred - It's November and it isn't wearing a toon-army t-shirt while seeking females in the Bigg Market.
