  • tynemouth club match 14/11/10

i fished the pier today, looking at the conditions i wasn't expecting much but it was nice to finally get out.
baits used were frozen blacks, rag, mussel and razor.
first cast resulted in a 33cm flounder which turned out to weigh only 15oz

there was plenty of action with small coalies and i managed 2 of them.

not a great day but i still enjoyed it after not getting out much over the last 2 weeks.
also it was nice to meet a couple more lads off here.

Well done in getting something from the pier - I ran into Brad at the Ice House & he'd heard it was patchy on there. I think he had a couple of codlings from before I got down about 1.30 - don't know if that was enough for him to win the match?

Well done. I did very well on the Heugh yesterday when i have seen catch reports. I had at leats five decent whities and a coalie.
Would have thought the river was the place to be for Codling.

          Mick.
