well i decided to head out to the huegh lastnight and i was greeted with a pier that was absolutely packed right at the end with lads all over so i settled for half way down the pier with me and my two mates we sarted fishing at about 1800 i got baited up and cast out for the first time of the night with rag and frozen peeler no sooner i put the rod in the stand tap tap tap and plenty of slackline i picked up the slackline and caught up with the fish wich turned out to be a fish of 1lb8ozand that was it for the night as the sea ran off a couple started leaving the end of the pier with bags full of fish whiting and codling by 2230 we managed to move along the pier a little bit closer to the end as lads started leaving things where slowq with most fish coming from the front of the pier on the bottom i managed a small colie pretty much straight away with plenty of small bites and rattles to keep us busy up until 0100 when all of a sudden dave picked up his rod and struck hard into a fish resulting in another codling just 1lb.11oz we finally managed to get onto the bottom of the pier right at the front by 0130 as just about everyone had packed up managed a couple whities plenty of small bites and slackliners to keep us going right through until about 0330 when we where finally beaten by the wind and about out of bait all in all a good night despite the lack of fish for us but at least we never blanked
