Went to Blyth Beach last night with Gregg and Nicky

Quite a few cars in the car parks...wonder why

Only had frozen lug out the freezer and some squid that I robbed off Gregg but you have to be “in it to win it” as they say…

Wind was blowing a bloody hoolie from the south making bite detection pretty hard – on top of that everything was getting a generous coating of sand

Anyways in the 3 hours we were there I managed 3 codling (2 size) a couple of 31cm Coalies and a 28cm Flounder…Nicky managed a few fish as well (3 size Codling) and Gregg had a Codling as well – Ted Rogers & Dusty Bin type fishing! 3-2-1!

All in all a reasonably successful night considering it was a last minute short session and with no fresh bait

    Double shot for me

The first of my two codling...

    Ooh a new vid!

You must of been fishing in the wrong spot, as Whitleys results show. It was the same for me as I decided to stay at Tynemouth and only managed 4 codling for 7 lb 9 ozs.

We were Marty - seems all the fish were further north up the beach..plus I think fresh bait might have had an edge

Don't know if it fished on the flood mate, I managed a couple more after you left but as I said might happen the better bags came from the farm area - still ended up with 7 for just over 15lb, best one was 5lb 2oz. (All better fish on frozen crab, only got 2 on the worm last night)

Got the sand out of all your orifices yet.....??
