  • Abroath

Am up at Perth for a few weeks with work,so obviously had to take my gear up with me. Decided to drive over to Arbroath on Thur morn and fish all day. Hour later was picking up bait at local dealers which comprised of frozen peeler, mussel, runny down and razor clam. Anyinfo I asked, 12lbr caught last night on off the cages was the reply, so straight for the cages at 10am on the harbour wall it was. Three hrs later not a bite. Here I was Arbroath and no fish, couldn't be happening. Made a few calls and was told the rock edges near to the old port of Auchmithie was canny. Arrived and looked really fishy, although tide was dropping and water was flat.
8pm left the beach not one bite.......be gentle with me. What was I doing wrong. Think I am a bit early in the season for up here, but gona try again in morning..
