Arrived to find the tide high and the sea calm, not much wind at about 15:30. Walked round to the point, set up, cast out a Lug/Muscle cocktail and decided to mess around with a float close in whilst waiting for that monster I just knew was coming! Had a couple of small coallies on the float but Nothing touched the main line, about 18:00 the rod doubled over, pulled out of the rest, grabbed it and tried to wind but it was solid! Tried to move it for about 10 mins before the line snapped, then nothing all night. Gave up at about 21:00 and headed to The Ship for a pint.
