South Shields Pier 24 Oct

I fished the last couple of hours of the ebb from the end of the pier (by the brass ball) on Sunday night. There were a couple of other anglers at the end from Cumbria who had no success, one local lad had 5 codling on rag/lug tipped with white rag.

I had six codling on rag/lug biggest was 4lbs and the total bag weight was 12.5 lbs. There would have been more if I had more bait with me. When gutted all the fish were stuffed with sand eels. Will post pics once sorted

i had 1 3.5lb and a 2lb from about 100 yards infront of the first gates, same probly with me i ran out of bait so had to call it a night
