Just got back. Fished Alcan end for about 2 hours using up last nights bait, but nowt but coalies or snags. Went to other end of beach beside the rocks. Three lads coming off the beach told me not to bother, as nowt doing. Must admit when I got there the sea was flat and didn't look promising.
First cast got a 3lb cod, but took some getting in through the kelp. The sea was washing loads of it in.
Second cast an even better bite but got snagged up on the way in and lost it.
Nowt for another hour so packed in. Home in time for Father Ted.......except it's been changed to "Hung"......ah well.
