Gave up on the beach after pulling in 3 small flatties 3 casts in a row.
Headed to river as it was a manageable tide for the river.
I was getting a coalie a cast. All about 1lb mark.
I reckon I could have lost 3 better fish. First good bite I pulled in about 30 metres and it was putting up a canny fight, before it got off.
Second and third ones I lost due to snags. Lesson learned. Rotten botoms next time...Doh!
I was kept busy but nowt for the table.
I was using frozen black lug and squid.
