Me and my brother got on the beach at 12noon today there were plenty fishing at horden.Anyhow very slow start as the tide was right out, as the hole started filling in front of us we started getting little bites but nothing to show.
Then my brother managed to pull one out a bass of 3lb,after much cursing and cussing i got the biggest bite ive ever seen on my rod it was banging like a Sh!thouse door in a force ten gale i grabbed the rod and stuck nearly pulled my arms off shouting this is massive struggling to wind my supermag and banging all the way heart pounding my brother standing in the water ready to land it then with a laugh he shouted you've got a peice of plastic sheeting about 8ft x8ft the air turned blue .Next cast i managed an under size coalie saved my blank.gave up at 5pm. Rumor has it there were plenty codling at horden but gonna try there on wednesday. Conditions were perfect hope these easterlies that are for cast keep the sea running.

There weren't plenty at Horden mate, I had 5 out in my club match for heaviest bag. Plenty undersize codling and coalies to go with the washing lines full of weed.
