Well lads spent an afternoon and night on the old girl and was surprised there was nowt decent. My contribution was a Whitie a Coalie and a small Rockling.
Best catch of the day was a Gold Headed Crest bird which hopped in my hand out of exhaustion. Now i know why all the bird watchers go to the Headland. It had been blown of course on its migration.
Best fish i saw was a 2 1/2 pound Codling caught by a local lad called Mark (The Bosun).
We were a bit annoyed as some tit of a crabbing boat had lobbed his pots right in the front of the pier to the right.
A poor days fishing but nice to be out.
Twin steps looked canny and sort of wished i had set up camp there.

    Mick.

Never had a hold of a Gold Headed Crest bird in my hand, but have had a hold of the odd Tit from time to time!
            Nice one Mick.
