Arrived at 8-30am to fish the middens rocks into the Tyne, but decided on the short beach as the tide wasn't down far enough. First cast produced an undersize codling, second, 3rd &4th, each an undersize coalie. Went quiet at bottom water, then a 37cm codling, then quiet again. Then last cast a coalie about 1./1/2lb. Ithink there would have been more fish as the flood started, but I was clamin for me dinna. Wish they would hurry up and finish work at the fish quay, as there are few places to fish on the north side of river. couple of pics.

Hi lads, thanks for your comments, just got back from a weekend away in the caravan. Your right Alan, i need to get in the pose quicker before the timer snaps the pic. There's not much room to fish there as there are mooring Dans 40 ft out just waiting to grab your tackle on the retrieve. Steak&kidney pie, the grounds not to bad further out, its on the retrieve when you have a bit aggro.P.B. Cod 30lb-11ozs Balcary.
