    Was PANTS.

Fished a couple of hundred yards north of Dene Holme today in the Help for Heroes charity match. Lug, squid and mussel, varying ranges from close to long range and not a single bite. Only saw a couple of flounder caught plus one or two small fish (probably coalies).

Was going to head along to Mucky Bay but it looked a bit packed along there so decided against the walk. Still managed to lose a couple of sets of gear - I've never known Horden to be snaggy, certainly not around there anyway. A couple of other lads got snagged as well so they weren't just in front of me.

TBH wouldn't have fished today if it wasn't for such a good cause. Roll on next weekend and the better tides plus long range forecast is saying northerlies for the end of the week
    CLIP IT AND WHACK IT

We fished the help for HFH in the bell hole and had eight fish between two of us (all under sized codling, coalies & rockling) on the flood then went dead. Lad was fishing the fox holes and said he had eleven with three size.

also fished this comp at hendon , loads of undersize coalies then ended up with 2 flounder for 1.47 lb. biggest fish was a cod about 5 1/2 lb from the pier, this lad also got optional heviest bag and the sealed wieght, he had to have earned himself just short of £1000 today. second was a cod for about 2 1/2 lb by chris hossack and third was a fish just over 2 lb . forty anglers wieghed in but the rest i dont know . thanks to all the fished or did anything to help this comp for the lads that are serving in the armed forces . i think there was over £2,000 raised today , thank you again .
