Had some crab in me fridge which i was sick of looking at lol so i went down the tyne for a few hours with a mate. We had a cracking day, we must have had about 10/12 size fish each, maybe more with the biggest being 3lb. I had all my fish on crab but nikki had all his on lug rag and mussel. They were all nice fresh run fish as well and it was a brilliant day from the off despite the rain.
Well done thats an excellent catch, i fished beside the Schooner Pub for a few hours this afternoon. Didn't even get a bite, crabs seemed to enjoy me bait, though, hooks came back clean everytime.

I must admit i have took a great liking to the Walkway area after my last trip. Nowt big but i was kept busy and it was nice to see my rod nodding with some bites.
read on here you have to cast fairly long to avoid snags there, what is the desired distance.
how does the walkway fish during the day on a medium to small tide.
Just chuck as far as you can. Fishes best on a small/medium tide as it's very hard going on a big tide. Far too much pull and will lose loads more gear.

would you say its a high watermark was going to try sat night but will be fishing the tide out
Depending on the size of the tide, avoiding big ones as already stated, just fish a few hours either side of high or low water. If the tides are really small you can usually fish all the way through the flood because of the lack tide.
I fished a few hours either side of high water yesterday in the docks and had plenty of fish despite it being a smallish tide.
