if u r looking for something similar to the axe then u needs to be looking for something stiff stiff stiff......in the higher range u will find lodsa stiff rods but again depends on ur budget ....been to a carboot recently pre owned daiwa tourney x 130 ...felt canny awesome .....preloved at 120...that was stiffPunch and pull then let rip

shimano aspire 14ft exellent rod pure rock lifters nice and stiff and they dont bounce in the wind or with the surf and still have good bite detection ... good rod all over
