Chaps
Myself and 2 intrepid fishing mateys Chris and Chip made the treck up to druridge bay for a bit of hopeful turbot bashing yesterday..
was a lovely day, not a ounce of wind, sun shining... fishing the tide up.
We were getting plaice, and dabs nearly everycast as the tide came in, often double shots... but nothing over 30cm in length... Rag and mackeral being the killer bait on a beaded short hook length one up one down rig - fished at distance..
Once high water came and passed.. the fishing died... we stuck it out until 5pm then decided on a move nearer home.. sadly no turbot showed up..
On the way out we did get to see a number of old vintage trucks / lorrys and sports car as there was some kinda ralleye on at the nature park site.. everything from steam traction engines to trans am`s, was like heartbeat meets smokey and the bandit!.
We finished the day at anglo swedish on the tyne, sadly the weed/debris and very strong tide pull running out restricted us to a few bites only but no fish... though in a complete freak of nature.. we did manage to hook 4 "jamrags" in a row! (
