    Went down to the ramp for a few hours tonight fishing two hours either side of low tide. after an hour I landed this!

    Bonny flatfish with bright gold eyes! And put back safely.
    Had a few more knocks after that but once it was dark it seemed to go queit, so packed up happy in the knowledge
    I had caught something new. If interestd I was using black lug (how expensive is that) to tip of some bluey.

    well done mate, a also caught two yesterday as did me mate, never really heard of them caught round here until pretty recently always good to get a new species tho

      yeh, hope the bigger ones come in too! apparently they are good eating fish,
      read afew reports of them bieng caught at cresswell but always small ones. fished between the wanny and byth loads of times , first time iv'e seen or heard of them.
      funnt enough havent seen any of the manky black dabs recently either.
      Might it be something to do with the improved water quality?
