Me. Madrob outcast Chris and Jordan headed over to Whitehaven pier on the hunt for doggies n rays. Set off about 6ish Sunday morning getting there for just after 8
Lovely sun coming threw the clouds and abit windy. Parked on the pier and walked along. We all set up 2 big rods and a small 1 for down the side
I got a small pollack on the 1st drop
Then Jordan gets his 1st dab for the species hunt
Within minutes me and rob pull in doggies for the species hunt
It was nearly fish a chuck for us all mainly small stuff with doggies thrown in. Chris and Jordan pull in a couple of doggies next
As the tide went down the fish slowed down. I had 4 blennies for the species on the light gear
There was no water left in the harbour at low tide not a drop but soon as the tide came back in the fish were back we had a mixture of cod. Pollack. Whiting. Flounder. Dabs. Doggies. Blennies starfish and I got a lovely 38cm plaice for the species
As the bait was going down Jordan went into the harbour and picked limpets and muscles and we had quite a few whiting on the limpets heade off about 8 burnt.
Ps a lovely clean , friendly pier and a pleasure to fish and some bonus fishing info off the local old timers on conger and bass marks locally at Whitehaven
Best laught of the day was rob walking around with a dead dried up doggies tail hanging out of his hood CLASSIC CHRIS
3 new species for me and 5 for young Jordan
Sorry I've put a pic of Chris smoothly in Iust have sun stroke lol
